The International Institute for Ethnomethodology and Conversation Analysis, founded in 1989, is a consortium of persons and institutions in North America, Europe and the United Kingdom which is dedicated to the advancement of theory and method in ethnomethodological and conversation analytic studies and to the development of research, instructional and other programs as well as conferences, symposia and lectures.

The activities of the Institute are organized by persons associated with the Institute with the approval of the Steering Committee.
